I saw Zach and Miri Make a Porno last night, and it was hilarious!! I haven't laughed that hard since Superbad, though the type of humor is pretty similar.
Basically, the movie is about two platonic friends who live together but can't pay their bills. In their desperation, they make a porno, and hilarity ensues.
I have to say, Elizabeth Banks is pretty hot in the movie, though you don't see anything except her in granny panties. There is nudity, and I think even a shot of a guy's penis (Jason Mewes), which is why I thought it was weird this was only rated R. But then again, the MPAA has no logic in its rating system, since a movie like Hostel or Saw also gets an R rating, and IMHO, the violence and brutality of those movies far outweighs a quick peek at a nipple or ass (though not the case in Zach and Miri).
The movie was great, with a lot of memorable (yet some disturbing) scenes. I'd highly recommend it for a good laugh.
Anyway, since this is supposed to be a HORSE poker blog, maybe I'll try talking about poker a little bit...
I don't know WTF I was thinking this hand:
Full Tilt Poker Game: $200 + $10 Heads Up Sit & Go Table 1 - 30/60 - Limit Hold'em
Hero with 1680
SB with 1320
Dealt to Hero:T♣ Q♥
Preflop: SB raises to [60] Hero calls [30]
Flop: 6♣ Q♦ 10♥ Hero checks SB checks
Turn: K♦ Hero checks SB bets [60] Hero calls [60]
River: 8♦ Hero bets [60] SB raises to 120 Hero calls [60]
Results:
SB shows : A♦ 9♦ SB wins the pot (480) with a flush, Ace high
Since this HU match just started, I didn't have much of a read on the guy yet. So after I make the PF call and hit 2 pair, I can either bet or check. Easily over 95% of the people I play make a continuation bet here, so I wanted to check raise him and get him to fold here or on my bet on the turn. GREAT... he checks...
On the turn, I check because I don't figure him for anything. If he got any piece of the flop he would've bet, so either he has crap, or maybe an ace rag. The king seemed like a pretty harmless card, and unless an ace or 9 hit on the river, I was probably going to win the hand. He took the bait and bet, and I decided to smooth call to disguise my hand (HORRIBLE DECISION, I know...). I should've raised to see where I'm at, but also to get an extra bet in specifically if he had a jack. At this point, I didn't even notice the diamonds (I'm sorry, I rarely miss something like that but I remember not noticing it at all this hand)
So on the river, it wasn't a 9 or ace, so I bet out (totally missing the diamonds) and get raised. Here, I make a crying call, and realized it was those damn diamonds... sighs, please don't make this mistake when you play. This is called retardation in limit hold em. I think I played every street just about as badly as possible.
